Do you know how to measure fish?

Did you know that there are different ways to measure certain species of fish? A couple inches could make the difference of getting a heavy fine if pulled over! Most size limit regulations of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission use either Fork Length or Total Length. Get more information: www.myfwc.com

The State of Florida is conducting a study to better estimate the numbers of red snapper that are harvested and the condition of red snapper that are released by recreational anglers. This information is needed to determine the health of the red snapper stock in the Gulf of Mexico and evaluate the effectiveness of current fishing regulations.

Please help by taking this data sheet with you the next time you go fishing. Fill out the requested data for every red snapper you harvest or release. Click here to get a catch card.

Thank you for contacting Florida Sportswoman. We will get back to you as soon as possible
